ACEMP works with key stakeholders to transform Uganda’s extractive resource endowments into inclusive and sustainable economic and social development. It achieves this by building capacity through education and training, government institutional partnerships, action research, and advice to industry and policy makers.
The ACEMP approach is supporting an environment for change, building momentum for change, and creating leadership for change in extractives and development.
ACEMP delivers an integrated issue focused tailormade capacity building program of activities that builds knowledge, networks and the capability of its participants and stakeholders.
ACEMP collaborates with Ugandan national agencies, institutions and sector field experts to deliver its rich program of activities. It works closely with natural resource offices at the district levels through memorandum of understandings with local governments and involves industry regulators, agencies and government institutions at national level in in the planning, programming and implementation of its programs. This collaborative approach harnesses the intellectual capital that exists in these institutions and across the minerals and energy sector in Uganda to deliver rich solutions to the challenges within the extractive sector in Uganda.
