Many mining and petroleum projects in Uganda are located in close proximity to fresh water bodies and can potentially cause pollution by releasing chemical waste and other hazardous substances into the water

ACEMP works with relevant government Ministries, Agencies and other stakeholders to continuously monitor mining projects so that they do not adversely affect aquatic life

Our Target

By 2026, conduct a study on the impact of extractive projects on the quality of water in Uganda’s fresh water bodies and propose practical remedies
