This project seeks to improve the transparency and accountability of the extractives sector in Uganda by enhancing public participation in the exploitation of petroleum and mineral resources, as well as the generation, distribution and management of petroleum and mining revenues.
The project seeks to achieve this by contributing to the available knowledge in the public realm about the extractives sector through research and web-based information dissemination, enhance the coordination, monitoring, tracking and management of oil and gas revenues at national, local government and community levels and work with relevant stakeholders to enforce compliance to national and regional guidelines to minimise mineral smuggling and under declarations of mineral exports.
